Website Management

Every organizaiton needs a strong digital presence. However, they most effective website type can vary drastically depending on industry or goal. That's why I've spent time managing a wide range of websites from retail to nonprofit.

NASSP and Student Programs

One of my first tasks with mdg, was to assist with transfering 5 NASSP related websites to a new CMS and managing various pages and sections of each website. This required detailed attention and frequent updates. Quickly I learned how to navigate around the Ingeniux CMS and was able to independendtly redesign webpages.

APG Exhibits

I played a key role in maintaining and updating the APG website. I added new products, organized the website, added new sections, created new content, and helped ensure each page was optimized for SEO and Google rankings.

Prahl Blog

Prahl Blog began as a blogging assignment for my social media class.  Each student was required to create a blog and post twice per week.  Each post needed to be tied to social media.

This project was a challenge for me but I have really come to enjoy it.  I have continued to blog professionally. I am also starting to blog casually here about some of my hobbies.

Knoxville Opera

I wanted to create a concept website to update the Knoxville Opera's current website. I used a free web builder called Wix to develop the site. The new website allows Knoxville Opera to add video, sound and photography previously unavailable.

Like most websites, this one also links to the Knoxville Opera's social media profiles.  I added a Twitter feed at the bottom so people can track tweets especially during opera events.  Since this is a concept site, the website is not complete based on approval from Knoxville Opera.
